- Eight years into a life prison sentence, Tony Almeida is evaluated for release from solitary confinement, while mysterious operatives plot to orchestrate his escape.
- When Lily Milton is reported missing, her boyfriend, Parker Hubbard, points Detectives Benson and Stabler in the direction of Callum Donovan, Lily's downstairs neighbor and convicted bank robber who spent nineteen years in prison. Stabler is convinced that Donovan was the perp and vigorously pursues him. Later, Lily turns up alive, having gone into hiding in shame after a failed attempt to score drugs. Trying to be the bigger man, Stabler goes to apologize to Donovan, but finds him on the roof of the apartment building. Donovan panics and pushes Stabler off the roof. Stabler survives, and initially intends to help A.D.A. Paxton throw the book at Donovan, but after Donovan testifies that he was afraid of going back to prison because of the time he spent in solitary, Stabler resolves to enter the Hole himself to see if it can really make someone crazy. When three days inside passes like a week for him he finds himself agreeing with Donovan. However Paxton refuses to sympathise with the perp and not only continues with the case but pushes to have him sent directly to solitary. Later while Stabler is in a bar feeling sory for the man, A.D.A Paxton comes in and offers to by him a drink in congratulations for sending Donovan back where he belongs, only for Stabler to give her the cold shoulder in disgust. Later on while visiting Donovan Elliot finds that Donovan had injured himself in his cell while attempting suicide. He will be in the prison hospital until he recovers, and thanks to some calls from Paxton he will be released back into the prison population. Donovan thanks Stabler for that, but Elliot replies it wasn't him.
- Knuckles the Echidna spends much of his time interrogating Doctor Zachary, eager to learn about his missing people. On this occasion, Knuckles asks Zachary about the identity of Vichama, an echidna dead when Knuckles found him, but Zachary refuses to answer. Instead, Zachary taunts him for destroying the Special Zone; Zachary's plan was to destroy Mobius, but the doctor insists that Knuckles' meddling got the Special Zone involved. Poring over plans for the Floating Island, Knuckles is convinced he'll find answers about Vichama in the documents. He's so stuck in his plans that he almost completely ignores Tikal, who has been having premonitions about a "God of Death". When Knuckles eventually notices Tikal, he rudely tells her to leave, wishing to concentrate. Dejected, she turns to Porker Lewis, who is working on repairs in the Emerald Chamber. She confesses her woes to an awkward Porker, who insists he's just getting used to other people living on the island with him. Porker says she just needs to give him more time, but a shadow passes over Tikal as she belives that time is running out. Moments later, Tikal chases Knuckles down to warn him about her premonitions. She believes she had the power of foresight in her old life, but Knuckles shouts her down, stating she can't remember her old life. He reels off his worries, particularly the destruction of the Special Zone and demands facts, not murky visions from Tikal. Horrified, Tikal runs off crying, leaving a baffled Knuckles. That night, Porker comes to talk to Knuckles, letting him know what he said was unfair. He suggests that Knuckles should let go of his past and just enjoy what he has right now. The echidna relents and the two friends look out into a starry sky together.
- After discovering a golf bag, Hurley constructs a golf course on the island. Meanwhile, Sayid is captured and interrogated by the mysterious French Woman.
Zaintrygowany, wyciąga go i zaczyna za nim podążać w głąb lądu... Kobieta znajduje zdjęcie dziewczyny wśród rzeczy Sayida i wypytuje go o nią. Sayid bez wahania zabija go, a następnie sam się postrzela w nogę, umożliwiając w ten sposób Nadii ucieczkę.
