  • In the capital of Sacramen -- Isbolla -- militants clashed with enforcers of Hukel Rann's rule of the planet. The coup seems to have been brought about by high poverty rates and extremely oppressive laws passed by Rann's administration. With the intense ground fighting throughout several small cities including the capital city, all commercial shuttle flights to and from the planet were canceled, however, supply shuttles carrying food and other supplies from the Batarian Hegemony had increased in flow to the planet. Jora Thad'serah, one of the known leaders of the rebel horde on Sacramen, had a history of extremism toward the Hegemony and it's subordinate governments. Despite his numerous verbal attacks on the government, he had managed to elude capture and execution on several occasions. Thad'serah now seemed to be one of the top engineers in the collapse of Sacramen. It was unknown how long the militants would be able to maintain control of vital strategic points for their coup but Ghalit Stord -- Chief of Colonial Security -- claimed that all extremist activity would be suppressed within the month. It was later proven that Stord's assumption was greatly exaggerated. Six months after the coup began, militants still maintained control of all supply lines in the capital and in atleast two other cities, however, security enforcers managed to regain control of atleast three other settlements. After losing these locations, militants tightened their grip around other vital points. Most areas that were previously plagued by poverty and scarcity of resources had supplies from the shipping docks diverted to them while priveledged areas were starved of supplies, especially Isbolla. Desperation and frustration intensified hostilities on both sides and soon, the fighting spread. Almost two years after the start of the coup, Sacramen's government had begu to collapse as support from colonists quickly grew for the militants. Delegates of Rann's regime were imprisoned while Rann himself was executed and had his corpse paraded through the streets.
