During the Clone Wars, a Separatist convoy led by General Grievous's flagship, the Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Malevolence, contained a pair of BC-714s.

Seventeen crew members were needed to fly the ship on a normal flight, as it provided quarters for thirty passengers. Although unarmed it made up its lack of firepower in sheer speed and heavy shields, which made it ideal for the Muun species executives who used the ship as a status symbol. It had a cargo capacity of up to eighty metric tons while it could carry consumables for 6 months, thought there was not enough space to take any complement vessels.[1] A new BC-714 luxury transport was priced at AurebeshSans-Serif credit1,700,000, while a used one featured a value of AurebeshSans-Serif credit980,000. The ship's availability was restricted to members of the InterGalactic Banking Clan.
