They are rescued by Arcee (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Bumblebee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), members of the Autobot faction. At the Autobot base, Arcee and Bumblebee are dismissed by their superior, Prowl, for unauthorised contact. Meanwhile, the Decepticon unit, led by Starscream engage Siege Mode, in order to protect the discovery of a new, super-powerful, energon variant called Ore-13. The Decepticon leader, Megatron (Stephen Lang) arrives on Earth to get his house in order. Starscream charges himself up to immense levels with Ore-13, intending to defeat him and take leadership of the Decepticons. A fight ensues. Megatron wins and blasts Starscream at point-blank range, seemingly killing him. Zack Snyder directed the first film, with Hans Zimmer doing the score. Michael Cera stars as the nerdy protagonist Daniel Witwicky, and Emma Stone plays his love interest Carly Spencer. The Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, is voiced by Liam Neeson. Bumblebee`is voiced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, with other Autobots such as Ironhide, Ratchet and Jazz being played by Tom Hardy, Roger Moore and Arsenio Hall respectively. The film's main antagonist Megatron is voiced by Stephen Lanf. His second in command and, Starscream is voiced by Jemaine Clement. Aaron Eckhart plays the US President James Keller while Bryan Cranston plays a government agent named Seymour Simmons.
