  • Ray Mundy was a Metro-Dade detective assigned to the Young Criminals Unit, who was working a case involving professor Terrence "Terry" Baines at Bradfield College and his new designer drug, Bliss. Mundy and new arrival Joey Hardin immediately clashed, wanting to out-do the other. Mundy attended the same class as Hardin and a co-ed named Claire--one of Baines' prized students, both with academic and personal interests, and Baines took notice when Claire and Mundy began speaking to each other. At a party hosted by Baines, Mundy and Claire distracted Baines long enough for Hardin (who was snooping in his office) to escape before Baines found him. Mundy and Claire's relationship heated up quickly, to the point they slept together. Later, Claire called Mundy to meet in Baines' office to review some papers about his drug tests, Mundy started to call Hardin for backup (after Hardin called him to thank him for the save earlier) but decided not to, planning to really out-do his rival. However, Claire's interest in Mundy aroused the jealousy of Baines, who caught them snooping in his office, and they ended up dead in a "car accident" under suspicious circumstances.
