That allowed the lava to cool, so the surface alternated between black and red, depending on its phase. Some scientists had a theory that the Morb sun shared Morb Prime's gravitational attraction with an outside star. Around 17 ABY, the New Republic attempted to set up mobile mining bases to work during the cool part of the orbit. However, the project was soon abandoned.
