Chciałem też pójść do jej domu, spytać się jej dziadków (rodzice nie żyli) co z nią, jednak nie udało mi się. To zdziwiło mnie najbardziej. Jej domu w ogóle już nie było. W gimnazjum było lepiej niż w podstawówce. Tam miałem przyjaciół, którzy stawiali się za mną w każdej sytuacji. Przez 3 lata wspaniale się z nimi bawiłem. Razem było nas pięcioro - ja, Tatiana, Olek, Małgosia oraz Hubert. Podczas tych 3 lat zakochałem się w Małgosi, zaczęliśmy ze sobą chodzić w 3 klasie. Była cicha, jednak umiała się bawić. Niestety, miała problemy z sercem i nie mogła biegać. Ogólnie te lata były świetne. Ale wiadomo, nic nie trwa wiecznie. Nastał dzień rozstania, koniec 3 klasy. Było to smutne. Wtedy już praktycznie zapomniałem o Marysi. Czasem zdarzało mi się o niej myśleć, ale rzadko. Mówiłem jej, do jakiego idę gimnazjum, myślałem, że może też tu pójdzie, ale nie zrobiła tak. Nawet nie wiedziałem, co się z nią dzieje, żadnego kontaktu z nią nie miałem. Do liceum udało mi się dostać tylko z dwoma przyjaciółmi - Hubertem oraz Tatianą. Z Olkiem oraz Małgosią kontaktowaliśmy się zazwyczaj przez telefony i spotykaliśmy się dość często. I tak minął jeden rok, nastała 2 klasa. Oraz przyszli nowi uczniowie... Zauważyłem ją na rozpoczęciu roku. Duże, zielone oczy, jasne, można by powiedzieć, że prawie białe włosy, związane w dwa długie warkocze. Kokardki kończące fryzurę sięgały po uda. Blada, mogłoby się wydawać, że nawet trupia cera. Lekko ciemniejsza niż kiedyś. Tak, byłem pewny, że to ona. To była Marysia. Nie wiedziałem, co zrobić. Dyrektor skończył przemowę. Pójść do niej i przywitać się? Nie, możliwe, że ona mnie w ogóle nie pamięta. I ten wzrok po zakończeniu roku w podstawówce... Może lepiej nie robić nic. Ale Marysia nie myślała tak samo. Gdy przed szkołą jeszcze rozmawiałem z przyjaciółmi i narzekałem na nadchodzące 10 miesięcy, poczułem, że ktoś mnie dotyka za ramię. Odwróciłem się. To była ona. Wtedy stwierdzili okej - nie to nie, koniec tego. Nie będą się w nic mieszać. Wróciłem do domu wściekły. Od razu poszedłem to swojego pokoju. I od tamtej pory zaczęły się dziać dziwne rzeczy. Co noc miałem koszmary, przez co nie chciałem chodzić do szkoły. Mama poważnie się o mnie martwiła. Nawet gdy wychodziłem do szkoły, to tak naprawdę chowałem się gdzieś w lesie lub na tyłach budynku. Keuchend rannte er auf den Körper zu, auf der Stelle wo dieser lag, war der Schnee von Blut rot gefärbt. Walter kauerte sich vor den Körper und drehte ihn vorsichtig zu sich. Zum Vorschein kam eine junge Frau. Ihre Gesicht glich dem einer Porzellanpuppe mit seinen feinen, schon fast mädchenhaften Zügen, ihre Augen waren so blau wie das Meer, was Walter als kleiner Junge gesehen hatte, und ihre Haare glichen der Farbe von Kupfer. „Können Sie mich verstehen?“, fragte Geller. Die Frau antwortet nicht, sie sah ihn schmerzverzerrt an. Panisch dachte Walter nach, was er tun sollte. Sein Handy hatte er in der Arbeit liegen gelassen, ob die Frau eines dabei hatte? „Haben sie ein Handy dabei?“, erkundigte sich Walter, doch die Frau antwortete nicht, sie schien große Schmerzen zu haben. Walter fing an zu suchen, doch er fand keines, er wusste auch, dass diese Straße kaum benutzt wurde und Hilfe holen vielleicht zu lange dauern würde. Er hatte keine Wahl. Er musste etwas tun, sonst würde die Frau hier sterben. Nachdem Walter die Frau vorsichtig in sein Auto gelegt hatte, verband er ihre Wunden und fuhr los, zunächst dachte er darüber nach, ob er sie doch ins Krankenhaus fahren sollte, aber die Fahrt könnte zu lange dauern, also fuhr er sie zu sich nach Hause; dort angekommen ließ er für die Frau ein heißes Bad einlaufen und entkleidete sie auf ihren Wunsch teilweise. Die Frau, die den Namen Mary trug, (was er anhand ihres Ausweises festgestellt hatte,) war im Licht sogar noch schöner als er es sich gedacht hatte, sie war schlank, hatte eine cremefarbige Haut und glich einem Engel, nur sehr ruhig war sie. Sanft goss Walter ihr warmes Wasser über den Kopf, während sie ihn mit ihren engelsgleichen Augen still beobachtete. Walter wusste nicht genau, was er sagen wollte, in seinen Kopf schwirrten tausende Gedanken und er hatte Schwierigkeiten, sie vernünftig zu ordnen. „Wie heißen sie eigentlich?“, hörte er plötzlich von der Frau. Ihre Stimme glich einem Harfenspiel. „Ähm...Walter“, antwortete der Mann verlegen wie ein kleiner Schuljunge, der beim Klauen erwischt worden war. „ Walter....ein schöner Name“, sagte die Frau mit einen ruhigen Lächeln zu ihm. „Ist das Wasser nicht zu heiß?“, kam aus seinem Mund besorgt hervor „Nein, es ist ganz angenehm. Danke, dass sie sich um mich so gut kümmern“, sagte Mary zum ihm. Walter wurde etwas rot, solch freundliche Worte hatte er noch nie von einer Frau gehört, außer von seiner Mutter. „Können sie aufstehen?“, fragte Walter die junge Frau, er hatte die Befürchtung, dass ein Teil von Marys Körper erfroren war. „Ich spüre meine Beine nicht richtig“, antwortete die Frau etwas verängstigt, als sie versuchte aufzustehen. „Das wird wohl eine Nachwirkung sein, auf die Erfrierung. Nach dem Bad wickelte Walter Mary in ein weiches Handtuch, föhnte und kämmte ihre wunderschönen langen Haare, versorgte ihre Wunden und brachte sie in sein Bett. „Soll ich sie in ein Krankenhaus bringen?“, fragte Walter die Frau „Nein, bloß nicht“, sagte die Frau panisch „Warum nicht?“ „Weil sonst mein Mann mich finden wird“, raunte Mary „Ihr Mann?!“, kam von Walter enttäuscht hervor. Er hätte es wissen müssen, ein solch wunderschönes Geschöpf war bereits vergeben, aber warum sollte sie fliehen? „Mein Mann... er ist ein schrecklicher Mann und er will mich umbringen“, sagte sie zitternd „Aber dann müssen wir die Polizei einschalten“, argumentierte Walter. „Nein, das geht nicht. Walter schlief in der Zwischenzeit auf seinem braunen Sofa und kümmerte sich liebevoll um Mary. Es war so leicht, das Messer durchschnitt den Arm wie Butter, Blut schoss heraus, als der Knochen splitterte. Es ging immer so weiter, dann war der Bauch, der Hals und schließlich das Gesicht dran, bis nur noch ein Brei aus Blut, Fleisch und Knochen übrig war. Walter war nicht mehr er selbst, er war völlig ruhig, schien kaum irgendwelche Emotionen zu haben. Er packte die Masse Stück für Stück in den Mixer und schüttete das, was einst Mrs. Peters war, in den Abfluss. WALL•E, who at that time was looking for EVE, wanted to get pass her to reach where she was. Mary, without knowing WALL•E was behind her, pushed her hover chair back and pushed against WALL•E. WALL•E made it, and easily escaped. As there was no room to reach EVE, he wanted to get Mary's attention. He eventually shut off the hologram communications, and Mary's clothes changed from blue to a regular red. When she noticed this, she acted as if this was the first time she saw the Axiom, which it probably was. What she also noticed soon after was WALL•E, and told her his name, and she told her's. As WALL•E informed her of EVE, and telling if she could let him past, she kindly pushed her chair back so he could get through. As the transport arrived at the Lido Deck and the passengers got off, Mary took notice of the gigantic pool located on the Lido Deck that nobody else even noticed their entire lives behind their messaging holograms While at the windows, Mary was glancing at the stars, and during that she noticed WALL•E space dancing with EVE in space with a fire extinguisher. Soon after noticing, she accidently pushed her hover chair back and bumped into another passenger, John, who also met the robot. Upon seeing each other, they quickly fall in love. They are later seen on the Lido Deck late at night when no one else is around, playfully splashing in the pool, against the objections of a robotic life guard that John playfully splashed to shut it up; shorting it out in the process. When AUTO tipped the ship over to prevent The Plant from being placed inside of the Holodetector, Mary and John saved a bunch of babies that fell out of their hoverchairs as they themselves were, she then observed with the rest of the Axiom Passengers as Captain McCrea stood up and charged at AUTO and deactivated him to right the ship again. She then helped with bringing The Plant over to the Holodetector as the Axiom made its jump heading back to Earth. Mary then departed the Axiom with the rest of its passengers; becoming one of the first Humans to have ever stood on Earth in over 700 years.

He tells Rem that it was her own fault, that he had no choice because Mary had betrayed him after all he had done to help her. He then points the gun at Knives, saying it must be his fault that Mary had to die, though Rem jumps to protect Knives. The stand-off continues until Joey opens a hatch that sends Rolan and Mary's body into space. Interestingly, a situation almost exactly like this plays out later near the end of the series and shows that Rem's attempt to reach Rolan might have succeeded.

Dear created Mary out of brass and leather while consumed by grief for his brother, who was killed during World War One. However, he could not determine how to make her truly come alive until Sergeant Fox gave him a clockwork brain designed by the God-Machine. Once the brain was installed, Mary was greatly transformed: she appeared from the outside to be an adult human woman, except for the large keyhole in her chest where her mechanism needed to be wound. She was, however, a complete blank slate, and Dear had to educate her, starting with teaching her to speak. Mary was infatuated with Dear, but had little emotional maturity or self-control. After she lashed out at him violent, Dear became afraid of her; when she realized he'd abandoned her, she destroyed his house and then went looking for him in London. She reached the city during the Blitz and at some point became trapped in the rubble of a destroyed house. An angel, likely Sergeant Fox, rescued and repaired her, then kept her sedated in a facility until 2012. In that year, the angel told Mary to go find William. She found Jon instead, but believed him to simply be an amnesiac version of William, and began stalking him. She may have killed his cat.
