  • The 1961 Greenville 200 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on April 1, 1961. Once Junior Johnson fell out of the race, it was primarily the Rex White show, as White led the next 106 laps. But finally, Emanuel Zervakis came out with the lead, holding off Richard Petty in the final twenty-five circuits for Zervakis' first career victory.
