| Synopsis | - Things start to look hairy for Superboy, Roxy, and Mick aboard the Whiz Wagon as the other contestants of the Demolition Run use all manner of weapons and tricks to win. Mick refuses to sink to that level, relying solely on speed to win.
The Run has been set up by an individual known as Mr. Big, who is broadcasting the race and plans on selling footage of later. Superboy flies ahead of the Whiz Wagon, trying to clear a way for it and making sure that no one gets killed. Fastbak of New Genesis boom tubes in and joins the race.
Back at the Cadmus Project, Dabney Donovon, recently a prisoner of the project, plays some mind games with Dr. Roquette and gleans some useful information from her -- namely, that she has a crush on Guardian.
As more and more competitors are eliminated from the race, Superboy does what he can to take down the few who are left. One of the race vehicles, being driven by a pair of vampire like creatures fire on the Whiz Wagon. It takes heavy damage and collides with another vehicle, which forces Mick to make a crash landing. Luckily, neither he nor Roxy is hurt. Roxy is heartbroken over losing the race. Though Mick offers to help her, she takes off on her own to help her dad. Superboy takes down the "undead" drivers. Fastbak wins the race, but is prepared to forfeit the prize. However, Superboy intervenes, knowing that Mr. Big was playing off of Fastbak, planning on him forfeiting the prize and plans on making billions off selling videos and such of the race. SB gets Fastbak to ask for every copy of everything related to the race, so Mr. Big gets nothing except for a grudge against Superboy.
