After leaving WWE, Bloom, adopting the ring name Giant Bernard, began working for New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he became a two-time IWGP Tag Team Champion, holding the record for the longest reign and the most defenses with Karl Anderson as Bad Intentions. Bernard and Anderson are also former Pro Wrestling Noah's GHC Tag Team Champions.
