| abstract | - Special Operations Task Force 184, commonly shortened to "Task Force 184" (TF 184), was the Imperial Special Operations Command's military designation for the cadre of Sith Assassins led by Darth Mercurial, who joined Joint Special Operations Task Force 452 at the bequest of Darth Maladi to hunt down and kill Roan Fel and Marasiah Fel. Commonly known as "Other Government Agencies" (OGA), Task Force 184 was a moniker construed to cover the activity of Sith Assassins — when Maladi's servants captured Jedi, to the Imperial Special Forces, the actions would be reported as "operations undertaken by Task Force 184" or as "operations undertaken by Other Government Agencies". The moniker of Task Force 184 also was disinformation to frustrate the intelligence-gathering efforts of the Empire-in-Exile — when an Imperial Knight was reported as being murdered by "Task Force 184", it became uncertain to Roan Fel whether or not the Sith were responsible for the murder, or if it was "conventional" soldiers of the Imperial Special Forces. The designation of "Special Operations Task Force" often demoralized Fel's soldiers, as they assumed that it had been conventional commandos of the Special Forces who had killed their Forceful comrades — non-Force-sensitives responsible for the murder of fully-trained Imperial Knights. Later, Task Force 184 would come to specifically mean a team of Sith Assassins led by Darth Mercurial, who were attached to Joint Special Operations Task Force 452. Task Force 184 became an umbrella term for all the Sith who were operating with Task Force 452. Other assassins included Darth Evanesce and Darth Lilith.
