  • Sneak is a Rogue skill used to attempt to enter a room unseen. The chance of success of a sneak attempt depends on the percent to which it is practiced, as well as (possibly?) the amount of Notice the room inhabitants have. While important for setting up a Backstab, it plays no part in the actual landing rate or damage inflicted. Sneaking can only be done on foot, and can be toggled on and off by typing . Rogues can sneak at no cost, while other classes suffer a MVs penalty when using it. Practicing sneak grants residual practice points in Ranger Sneak, a related Hunter skill.

  • Sneak is a monster in AdventureQuest Worlds.
  • Sneak is a special skill.
  • Sneak is a special move that players can use. When used it allows the player to reduce the chances of being noticed.
  • The Sneak is a demonic creature who sneaks into a person's bedroom at night after peeking in the window. It's about 3-4 feet in height, with bright red skin and pair of horns on its head. The Sneak laughs and dances before the individual's eyes, causing a terror-filled night without sleep. His appearance is followed by a night of "stepping out" to partake of unusual foods that cause discomfort. "Mince pies and rarebits" are mentioned by name. He cannot be grabbed, and floats in the air "like a white ghost". It's presence is often accompanied by the sound of a hooting owl.
  • Use this ability to mask your presence from enemies. It cannot be activated while an enemy can clearly see you. While sneaking, you are difficult to see and hear, do not move as quickly as normal, and cannot use any abilities without losing your stealth. Taking damage or being caught by an enemy will also deactivate stealth.
  • Although not a standard test, it is anticipated that characters - with or without Silent Move skills - will want to try and creep past guards and other potential problems. To discover whether the character is heard, refer to the Listen test and Moving.
  • Sneaking helps accomplish a lot of things, such as walking on ledges without falling, preventing the player from falling off of blocks if stopped partway up a Ladder, etc. It can also be used to prevent a player's username from being visible through blocks. However, when viewed up close, others can still see the username.

  • Usage: !sneak/ Usable by those with the SNEAK ability: Note that while SNEAKING you are still visible, just adept at skulking in the shadows, hiding, and otherwise avoiding attention. You are NOT invisible. People with enhanced senses and radar will be able to find you. While you are SNEAKING you may not attack or be attacked, but you will be set to the special "HIDDEN" defense level. Be careful not to change your defense level before making your sneak attack, or you'll lose the special hidden bonus! You can also use your turns spent hidden to use !aim and !analyze. If you are detected while you are sneaking you will be automatically set to the OFF-GUARD defense level.
  • Time Taken: One round. Specializations: Specific type of terrain — jungle, urban. Sneak represents the character's ability to move silently, hide from view, move in shadows and otherwise creep around without being noticed. This is an opposed roll — the character sneaking around makes a roll, and anyone who might spot the character makes a search or Perception roll. This skill allows characters to hide themselves only — to conceal objects, they must use the hide skill.
  • Learning Sneak will cost 5 Learning points and 100 gold - maximum skill Level 1 This skill is very useful for entering areas undetected where you are not supposed to be, and for sneaking up from behind or on sleeping humans and animals. NOTE: This is essential skill. It comes very handy when you go to peoples houses at night and steal their stuff. It's not necessary to get this skill, because there is a ring that will give you this skill. If you are seen while sneaking, people will question why you are sneaking and watch you closely.

  • Sneaking helps accomplish a lot of things, such as walking on ledges without falling, preventing the player from falling off of blocks if stopped partway up a Ladder, etc. It can also be used to prevent a player's username from being visible through blocks. However, when viewed up close, others can still see the username. There are some negatives to sneaking. It causes a player to move 1.3 m/s, much slower than the normal 4.3 m/s. As mentioned above, walking near ledges without falling can only be done with sneaking, but it is still possible to step off a block onto an aadjacent surface only half a block lower, such as from a block to a slab, or down some stairs. Sneaking also affects a player's reach distance.

The character makes a roll to leave behind false clues and paths and the tracking character must make an opposed search roll to follow the true path.
