  • Ubik (ユービック Yūbikku?) is a member of the God Hand. His primary role is manipulating the emotions of those chosen by the Behelit into sacrificing their cherished ones or possessions.
  • The Ubik is an organic unit. The Ubik shoots its caustic spit to neutralize enemy threats. A Ubik and a Tyr both start as Primus. They can then be upgraded to Amplus, Magnus, and finally Maximus. A Haltyr, however, can be upgraded to Extremus,after Maximus. Ubiks can attack both air and ground units.

Ubik appears to be a deceiver; he is able to conjure up images from the past to persuade potential Apostles and God Hands to fulfill the ritual of sacrifice. It is he who convinced Griffith to continue walking towards his dream as a demon. On an interesting note, in one panel in chapter 306, Ubik is seen surrounded by many images taken from the "Hell" panel of an actual painting named "The Garden of Earthly Delights." Both the panel and the painting depict many fantastic yet disturbing visions that could represent Ubik's nature and purpose, one of the more interesting things being the giant tree man he rides in, believed by many to symbolize the Antichrist (a similar figur
