| abstract | - Great Challenge is a type of Special Stage, appearing only during events. These stages feature Pokémon that are usually not available anywhere else. They are usually pretty difficult with low catchability. The first several events had rewards for first clear, and then the game was released for Mobile. Since then, events have been somewhat inconsistent between the two platforms, including Mobile costing Coins for attempting the stages, up until the the 3DS v1.3.10 (05/17/2016) and Mobile v1.6.4 (05/17/2016) updates, when Skill Boosters were introduced.
