| abstract | - The Gem of Azshara, an ancient jewel from the time of the Highborne which was rumoured to summon the wielder's most deepest desire. The Gem was lost.. sinking to the depths when the Well of Eternity imploded. The Naga did not recover the Gem and it lay hidden from time itself. Grandwitchdocter Goprod had been studying texts of old and came across parchment which hinted of an old traveller who stumbled upon the gem in a cave in the lands east of Ashenvale. Curious.. he set about locating this gem and eventually did find it.. only to be scarred by a curse set upon the cave to ward away intruders... Again the gem had disappeared but Goprod noticed an increase in Naga activities around Azshara and Ashenvale. He presumed that they too, were searching for the gem. Immediatly he headed to warn Hrisskar and after a lengthly discussion they decided it was for the best that the gem was destroyed. Heading out to the wilderness.. Hrisskar searched for the gem, remaining out of contact with the Clan. Meanwhile.. after another busy day selling his goods.. Arakajin Venomspear had three last customers. Zil'jun Sasaya and Zaxien. He sensed something odd about these three... and from his pack, produced a strange and mystical globe. The Mystic's Sphere was an old Divination tool used by wizards of times past. Araka'jin used the Sphere to relay a vision of power, greed and corruption fighting against good and pure hearts with the two friends on opposite sides. Ziljun and Sasaya, disturbed by this vision sought another fortune-telling from Esme.. who divined the same tale as what Arakajin had said. The two Trolls joined the Earthfury Clan's quest to destroy the gem so it would not tear the two friends apart. Zaxien also joined but his reasons were quiet and unrevealed. The Magisters of Silvermoon had also heard of this jewel and send their best men to track it down, thinking it could cure their addiction to magic.. but Magister Drooge wanted it for another reason... Power. Therefore the Hunt for the Gem of Azshara began with more and more eager, powerhungry villians heading to secure it for their own ends. Yet heroes and volunteers were numerous to stand in evil's way. The battles would be fierce but in the end whoever finds the Gem first .. decides the fate of Azeroth
