Coffey and Esme, suspicious that Isanion may have assassinated the wrong woman, decided to perform a channelling ritual on the heart with the help of another blood elf, Nozari. This involved Esme inviting the dead girl's spirit into her body so that Coffey and Nozari could speak to her. The ritual quickly spiralled out of control as Esme began to relive the girl's murder. Nozari managed to stop the ritual just as Esme's chest was magically scythed open. If the witch had not been Forsaken, it would have killed her.
