  • Paulus, Poalo, Paul, Paulo are all variations of Paul the 13th Apostle, the Apostle to the Gentiles. The death of Paulo reflects the death of Rhea Silvia - In pre-Roman (likely Etruscan or Latin, the people who live on the site of Rome before its foudation) mythology, one of the Virgins who mothered twins Romulus and Remus. abstract
(ROMULUS kills Remus, JACOB kills MiB; you know the story). Well, the people of Latinium had a special way of executing virgins gave birth. They buried them alive. Their children were left to die. After the death of Augustus, nephew of Julius Caesar, the virgins were not so strict about their vows. But the Romans adopted and extended the method of execution to slaves long before this. By the time of the Acts of the Apostles, there were three official methods of execution. Most people were killed by swords, cheaper, faster than the official methods. For the slave the choice was burial alive. The fellow slaves of the condemned slave did the deed. No court proceedings and an object to the household were its "virtues". For public menances, there was public crucifixion. Jesus and Peter (the Rock) died this way. But the romans recycled. they reused the wood and the nails. Mark Twain In his narrative , "The Innocents Aboard", Twain complained there were too many pieces from the Crucifixion of Christ. As Paul Harvey would have said: "Now you the rest of the story" Official method number 3 was more cumbersome: If you were a Roman citizen, YOU HAD RIGHTS! from Chapter 23 to the end of the Acts of the Apostles, Paul, the most famous of all jailhouse lawyers turns the table on the Romans. He is imprisoned and tortured. he casually and unctuously informs his captors in Judea that he is a Roman citizen; therefore, his confinement and torture have been illegal. He could appeal to the emperor ( a proces that takes years). He does. Moreover, he can only be executed by beheading at the order of the emperor. When the Jews take the law into their own hands: public stoning or private ambush. So here comes Mother: What better way to punish the namesake who used the long con to spread Christianity (the religion of the Blessed Virgin and her Son) than to give the namesake of the man who spread Christianity to the whole Roman world) than to give him the death of a slave.--Past recaptured 10:36, October 10, 2010 (UTC)
