It was held on September 26 and was the third Singapore Grand Prix with all three races being held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The race was won by Fernando Alonso as he got his first (and so far only) Grand Chelem. Mark Webber finished in third place to extended his lead in the drivers championship to six ponts.
