Biography
  • Phil Wendt is a former NASCAR driver from Pennsylvania, now residing in Theodore, AL. He competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career. He also finished sixth in the inaugural season of the Grand American Stock Car Series in 1980. Wendt won the 2007 late model track championship at Sunny South Raceway. All of those Cup races came in 1968, when Wendt debuted at Montgomery. Starting last in the field, Wendt blew an engine late and finished 15th. Unfortunately, that was his best career finish as engine failure left him 42nd at Atlanta and many laps down and 27th at Charlotte. External Links *Stats
