In 1999, she was interviewed by as a witness who claimed to see a man fleeing the scene of the Roy McIntyre murder. In 2007, she was photographed by a traffic camera two blocks from the scene of the Raymond Randolph murder, and was interviewed by LAPD detectives Jerry Edgar and Manuel Soto. In 2012, an analysis by the Data Evaluation and Theory Unit identified Gables as a common link between the McIntyre and Randolph murders, prompting Edgar and Harry Bosch to revisit Gables. The woman was later shot and killed by SWAT shartshooters after admitting to Bosch that she killed a total of nine men who she believed had escaped justice.
