  • Sandor Szatmari is head of security for Global Underwriters. In May of 1999, he was assigned to investigate the theft of $2-million that had been insured by Global Underwriters for use as a prop in an action film. There were no arrests in the robbery and none of the money was ever recovered, so Global Underwriters settled the claim with BankLA. In 2002 Szatmari was visited by Harry Bosch who was investigating the robbery and related crimes. Szatmari said he was not allowed to make his files available to outsiders, but he left his office to make it possible for Bosch to surreptitiously examine the file on the case.
