| abstract | - Katherine was the mother of Sydney Andrews and the adoptive mother of Jane Andrews. She first came to Los Angeles during the time of the wedding between Sydney and Michael Mancini. She did not approve of Sydney marrying Michael, but Sydney would not listen to her advice on the subject and sent her home. A few years later, when Jane returned home for a time to recover from some hard times, Katherine had the unfortunate task of informing Jane that she had been adopted. After Jane found her birth mother, Sherry Doucette, Kathleen started getting ignored by Jane, which hurt Katherine tremendously. However, after Jane was robbed at her boutique, Jane decided to move home with her mother and father to start her life over again.
