  • Wise Ones are Aielwomen of wisdom. Most, but not all, of them can channel, and some of them are Dreamwalkers. As part of becoming a Wise One, an apprentice must journey twice to Rhuidean, once to the learn the secret of the origins of the Aiel and once to see their possible futures in another ter'angreal. By tradition, Wise Ones do not engage in battle, and they stay away from Aes Sedai. Slaying a Wise One is a heinous crime among the Aiel, on par with killing a pregnant woman, a child, or a blacksmith.
  • The Wise One is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. She is the elder of Papuchia Village and all the villagers rely on her clairvoyant abilities for advice in their daily lives. When speaking with her, players must talk into the Nintendo DS microphone to answer her questions in which she replies with set responses for certain words. She will ask three questions; "What is your gender? What is your eye color? What is your astrological symbol?" In the European version of the game she asks "What is your star symbol?" instead of asking for Link's astrological symbol.
  • Wise Ones are the matriarchal leaders of the Aiel.
  • The Wise Ones are talking animals—any beast that by chance or impartation has a spirit and is sapient like people, thus making one a person itself. Some notable examples of talking beasts: * Unicorns * Lions * Donkeys * Beavers * Snakes * Horses A few talking animals have more specific names to identify them as wise ones of their species: * Jarvey: ferret * *
