  • Fire-Breathing King Dodongo (轟炎凶角竜キングドドンゴ, Gouen Kyoukaku Ryū Kingu Dodongo) is a recurring boss in Hyrule Warriors. He originated from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
  • Once the game's protagonist, Link, comes in possession of the Goron's Bracelet, he'll be able to pick up a Bomb Flower and lodge it at the large rock. It'll explode, thus giving him access to the cavern. His next goal was to enter the cave and search for King Dodongo. In The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure, the boss appeared once more, and the tactic to defeat him was very similar.

  • Infernal Dinosaur: King Dodongo is the boss of Dodongo's Cavern, the second dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. King Dodongo is the leader of the Dodongo sent to the cavern by Ganondorf. This is problematic for the Gorons, as King Dodongo loves to eat them. After the defeat of King Dodongo, Darunia presents Link with the Goron's Ruby. Interestingly, even though the size of King Dodongo is impressive, he is apparently not the largest one of his kind, as the entrance to his lair is adorned with what appears to be the skull of a Dodongo even bigger than him. There is a stone in the cavern that says, "Giant dead Dodongo... When it sees red, a new way to go will be open." This might imply that it is actually the skeleton of a long-dead Dodongo. It is still possible that this may simply be a rock shaped like a Dodongo. Also, what looks like giant Dodongo bones are found supporting the ceiling of the same room.

King Dodongo is the leader of the Dodongo sent to the cavern by Ganondorf. This is problematic for the Gorons, as King Dodongo loves to eat them. So Link goes into the Dodongo's cavern to defeat the beast once and for all, and reaches him. When King Dodongo charges up his fire attack, Link must throw a bomb in his mouth so it will explode and the king will become vulnerable to a sword attack. King Dodongo is also damaged with Deku Sticks and jump attacks. After Link has slashed him, he gets up and rolls around the outside of the room. Link must manage to dodge the rolling, repeat the throwing-bomb-and-slash process, until he defeats the king of Dodongos. Just then, King Dodongo tries to run Link over one last time, but fails and rebounds off a wall into the central pool of molten rock.
He eventually came upon him, and in order to thwart him he was required to use his Bomb Bag to toss bombs inside of King Dodongo's mouth when he was sucking in, reading to blow fire. This would stun him for a short time, allowing the player to go in and slash him with your sword. Following this attack, King Dodongo would crawl up in a ball and cruise around the course, attempting to hit you. After crashing into two walls, he'd repeat the process of sucking in, and the player was thus required to toss more bombs in his mouth once more. In The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure, the boss appeared once more, and the tactic to defeat him was very similar.
