If all five are collected, they summon a Power Star to come. If the player gets hit by an obstacle or an enemy, a Silver Star bounces out and he/she must collect it again to regain it while it bounces all across the course. In the Super Mario Galaxy series, some stages contain silver stars scattered around the stage, floating in bubbles unlike in Super Mario 64 DS where they must just be found in areas not in bubbles.

The early days were the best when wine and gold flowed from the mountains and weren't completely worthless. as time went on silver star had to work harder to keep his nations head above the water, and after an especially brutal raiding party Silver Star realized what the game was becoming and chose an alliance that fit his needs. The Republic was my first home and had some very good democratic foundations and good people in it as the alliance grew and eventually merged with Sanctum to create atlantis i picked up much of my CN knowledge. Atlantis was both a golden time for Golden Star and also a burden. RL hit Silver Star badly and was very sick with it for most of his tenure at Atlantis. eventually Atlantis could sustain herself no longer, finding myself torn between friends and an alliance i had been in since conception i chose friends and we left and formed Inertia. after some extremely troubling beginnings and some very petty backstabbing Inertia was destroyed for existing. this made me very sad as I lost a great many friends in those dark days. after surrender and a savage beating from raiders i took my broken battered nation to a small alliance called Holy Order. There i finally recovered completely from RL and took an active part in the alliance i found many new friends and some new enemies, after a relatively short tenure there and relizing the internal problems that lay before it a great many of my new friends departed what had become Tempest and formed our new alliance SNAFU. After a rocky beginning we solidified our future with several treaties and general awesomeness. somewhere along the line it was decided that i should be the MOF dude simply because no one else wanted to do that crappy job. After many months of struggling and no real idea what i was doing along with much help from our fearless leader Stetson we have made a succesful high volume tech center for our small alliance, which has led to our nations free from tech hunger and relatively large growth while keeping membership steady.
