  • Ferny Gold was an extremely successful cricket team which was formed in early 2004. Some might say it was the spearhead of cricket's increasing popularity in Australia. The team's amazing ability to unleash an unrelenting pace attack on an unsuspecting inferior team (often albany creek sea hawks) or quickly unhinge an opposing team's bowling attack with a few quick sixes, saw them win the hearts of many everyday Australians.[1] The field where the Ferny Gold cricket team plied there craft was situated in tramway st. and attracted large crowds of loyal supporters.[2]
