Starting 38th in the field of forty, the driver managed to complete all but fifteen laps in the event and was rewarded with a career-best 9th place showing. Danielson's next start, also in 1974, came at Riverside. Starting 20th in the field, Danielson again completed all but just a few laps in the race in route to a solid 11th place finish. Danielson's final career race, coming in 1976, was yet again at Riverside. Starting 30th in the field of thirty-five, Danielson lost his engine halfway thorugh the event and finished a disappointing 28th.
