- They are caught by using a teasing stick to provoke them and then by luring them over pitfall traps. The pitfall traps are made using a set of logs and a knife (tool belt will work) on the numerous pitfalls in the surrounding area. There are multiple dead trees in the area which can be cut to obtain the logs. Collected Sabre-toothed kyatt fur can be used to make kyatt hunter gear and Spirit Kyatt Summoning Pouches. After completing the Fur 'n' Seek quest, sabre-toothed kyatts have a chance to drop Sabre-like teeth, an essential bone in the Odd Old Man's second Wish List.
