Some gates naturally occur within nature but are generally unstable, at varying degrees of power output, one could find themselves stranded in the spirit world without any ability to return to the living world, however those skilled in Space–Time Ninjutsu may be able to link the two worlds and teleport back, however it would expend a lot of chakra to do so.
