She attended a secondary school in London which was very different to her previous school back in Liverpool. Speaking on the subject, Jade said; It wasn't a very nice experience. Everyone was nice that was for sure but it lacked personality. The uniform was bland, everyone got on, the teachers were dull and no fights seemed to happen. I'm not promoting violence but I was from a deprived area, I was used to a bit of rough and tumble. Back home it had character and everyone was unique, but in London it just seemed.......bland, non-descript'. Tanya Stephenson, of Teen Titans fame, also attended th same school. Jade's father became addicted to Heroin in 2006 after he started to but it with his extra money. On December 17th 2007, he overdosed and died at his home. Jade came back from school and discovered his body. This shocked Jade so much that she entered into a state of depression and refused to speak to anyone for almost 3 months. The death of her father made her turn to songwriting as a way of letting out her emotions and thoughts.
