  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is the first animated feature film produced by Walt Disney. It was released on February 4, 1937. Even though it wasn’t the first full-length animated feature, it was the first animated feature film that gained a huge success in the English speaking world. It was not only the first feature film with sound, but it was also the first to be filmed in Technicolor. The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves was adapted from a German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. The film slightly differs from the actual fairy tale; however, the plot revolves around a beautiful girl named Snow White who is pursued by a jealous queen. Snow White thus hides with the Dwarves. However, the queen finds a way to feed her a poisoned apple. Never too late, Prince Charming awakens her with a magical kiss.
