| abstract | - Born on Serroco, Dantuve survived a deadly terrorist attack on the Tassi Building. The attack killed both his parents and left him alone. He grew a disdain for life and a deep respect for power. He worked as a pistol-jockey as soon as he came of age, and eventually found himself as a crime lord at the age of twenty-three. Working to destroy several other crime lords on Serroco, he ordered the development of a secret bacterial parasite called Red Curse. Developed from a mysterious extinct plant on Felucia, Red Curse was incredibly dangerous, and exposure usually resulted in death or insanity. Red Curse was transported by a diplomat, the father of Mar Valo. It was tested on Jessa Dyas, the illegitimate lover of Jedi Isan Waylander. Jessa was transformed in the process and exiled to an unknown planet. One day, his research facility was attacked. In a battle that destroyed the facility along with much of his thugs, the facility was burned to the ground. He was presumed dead, until one day he was seen, arising from the ashes of the facility, covered in the corrupting Red Curse. He proceeded to attack his enemy's compound and destroy everyone present. The Red Curse had given him strength he didn't imagine possible. For two years, he lived in the darkness on Serroco, cursed, unable to control the parasite. He gained control of his body again through the use of stims. He was able to contain the Red Curse, to the extent that it was unnoticeable. He soon discovered that through the parasite, he had abilities that mimicked the Jedi's: he could subtley read others' minds, as well as influence them greatly.
