Nave's next appearance on the circuit came at North Wilkesboro in 1962. Starting 31st in the event, Nave's team quit the race near the mid-race point, leaving him 31st. He didn't fare any better in one other start that year, starting and finishing last (32nd) at Martinsville after a first-lap transmission issue. Nave's final race came in 1964, when he competed at Bristol. Starting 21st in the field, Nave again lasted just a few laps (two) before he was knocked out of the race to finish 35th.
