Kelly tends to berate Ryan due to his inexperience, though she tolerates his company nonetheless. Perhaps it makes her feel better about herself. Additionally, Kelly exudes a very confident aura, so her Pokémon are extremely loyal to her. In battle, Kelly loves using status boosts just as much as attacks. She is quite a mature individual, and she rarely shows extreme emotions.
