  • Magic tablets are created from soft clay using a lectern in a player-owned house. A player brings the runes for the spell, a magic staff (optional) and the soft clay to the appropriate lectern. The lectern can be in the house of another player. By clicking on the lectern a screen will appear showing the magic tablets that can be constructed at that lectern. After selecting a spell, the clay changes into a stackable magic tablet and the magic tablet selection window disappears. Magic tablet building requires that the player has the appropriate magic level and brings the required runes for casting the spell.

  • A Magic Tablet is a specific Growth Panel item that, once equipped, enables a character in Unlimited Saga to learn spellspermanently. Magic Tablets come in a range of levels (linked to the Growth Panel) and varieties, each with it's own preset spells contained on it. The level and type of Tablet acquired changes in relation to your current Monster Rank, how many items your picked up and how many monsters you've defeated previously.
  • Magic tablets are generally created by using soft clay and runes on a lectern in a player-owned house. The tradeable tablets provide players with a method to gain the benefit of a spell before reaching the required Magic level to cast it. However, for base spells which require quests, the tablets also require the same quests. For example, Plague City is required to use the Ardougne teleport tablet.

You do not have to have the standard spellbook on to make the tablets. After completion of the quest Love Story you can use a chisel on the tablets to change their destination to any of the player-owned house portals. Regardless of the tablet being made, an "O" is visible during the tablet creation process, especially in screenshots. If you are in a player-owned house while making tabs and the owner of the house expels guests or you leave the using the leave house button, the tabs will continue to be made, and the animation will continue, unless you move. When lecterns were first introduced, the player was required to click repeatedly on the lectern to make each tablet, but an update added a "make-all" option, which made the entire process much more convenient for the user.

The level and type of Tablet acquired changes in relation to your current Monster Rank, how many items your picked up and how many monsters you've defeated previously. By putting a Magic Tablet on a character's Growth Panel they can steadily unlock and learn spells from the Tablet by using other forms of magic spells in battle. Once the character has cast a spell (from an item with a preloaded spell, or from a Familiar) they can allocate points to a spell on the magic tablet at the end of the fight. Once a particular spell's experience bar is maxed then the character will have learnt the spell, and can be used at any time provided the character has a piece of equipment that allows magic use. If you learn all the spells on a Magic Tablet you will recieve a bonus to the Spirit and Magic stats as well as an increase to the Tablet's element for as long as it remains on the characters Growth Panel.

Tablets are useful in situations where inventory space is critical and/or where inventory-based activation is useful. Players on a different spellbook (Lunar magic or Ancient Magicks) may find it useful to have access to a subset of spells from the Standard spellbook.
