Go and Leeden had been friends for over thirty years when Leeden was killed in 2378. In 2379, Captain Go was assigned to lead an inspection tour of the USS Enterprise-E. She questioned Captain Jean-Luc Picard about the fact that many officers who had been achieving very high evaluations asked to transfer off the ship while a group of newer officers had been known to cause problems. She also questioned Lieutenant Commander Data about the loss of his emotion chip and about his short stint as acting captain of the USS Sutherland. Go avoided discussion of the Rashanar incident because she wanted to try to keep to a strict standard of what was relevant for the inspection.
