  • Charlie Reynolds was a Human male Starfleet captain in command of the USS Centaur in the late 24th century. In 2374, he inadvertently pursued a Jem'Hadar attack ship that was actually being commanded by his friend Benjamin Sisko, who said Charlie wasn't one to give up and never knew when to quit. Several ships actually commanded by the Jem'Hadar eventually chased the Centaur back to Federation space. Captain Sisko noted that in combat Reynolds tends to "swing for the fences." (DS9: "A Time to Stand")

Charlie Reynolds is featured in the Star Trek: The Dominion War novelizations Call to Arms and Sacrifice of Angels, in which he is portrayed as blond and bearded. The character also appears in Articles of the Federation, where author Keith R.A. DeCandido derived his personality from the Dominion War novels. [1] The Sacrifice of Angels novelization gives his name as Charles W. Reynolds. Reynolds is also an available commander for the Federation Alliance in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Dominion Wars, where he appears to be of African descent.
