  • Gamets were part of the army that was laying siege to the Palace of Power when Kevin Keene arrived in Videoland. He, Duke, Simon Belmont, Kid Icarus, and Mega Man had to sneak past a patrolling Gamet to reach the express warp to Metroid, where Mother Brain was holding the kidnapped Princess Lana. Kevin was also attacked by a Gamet after being tricked by Mother Brain and imprisoned on Metroid.
  • Gamets made their first televison debut in the first episode, Kevin in Videoland. A single Gamet also appeared in the episode Metroid, Sweet Metroid, attacking Kevin when he was trapped on Metroid. It made a sound like a bird call as he dodged it. Unlike normal Gamets, this one turned around when it missed, followed by a Skree.
  • Gamets are species found in the Metroid series of games, including and currently limited to Metroid and Super Metroid. They're relatively large creatures (or at least their heads are) who posses the ability to fly. They seem to be protected by their shell that covers their heads, though ultimately they can be killed by Samus Aran, the protagonist of the series. They, along with hundreds of other species that were native to Zebes, became extinct once their planet was destroyed. While it is possible that some live elsewhere, it isn't very likely.
  • Gamets are a species of aerial, pit-dwelling insectoid indigenous to the subterranean sectors of the planet Zebes. Two hues were known to exist: red and violet, either indicating closely related subspecies, sexual dimorphism, incomplete metamorphic alteration, or a hardening of the carapace over time. They typically could be found living in large colonies within former colonial air ducts and like many other Zebesian hive-oriented fauna, they would protect their homes with ample ferocity. They will continue to bombard their foes with their seemingly endless numbers - usually in sets of three at a time - until the threat flees. Strangely, Gamets seem to only inhabit floor-based ducts; the reason behind this is not well understood as one cannot get close enough to the hive to check on it.

A single Gamet also appeared in the episode Metroid, Sweet Metroid, attacking Kevin when he was trapped on Metroid. It made a sound like a bird call as he dodged it. Unlike normal Gamets, this one turned around when it missed, followed by a Skree. In the comic story, Money Changes Everything, a swarm of small Gamets flew out of missing tiles in the floor and latched onto Samus in the Fire-Sea of Norfair. Kid Icarus's arrows bounce off of them, but Kevin's Zapper makes swift work of them. Samus states that they drained all of her energy and that her armor would explode. Kevin acquired an Energy Tank to prevent this.

Strangely, Gamets seem to only inhabit floor-based ducts; the reason behind this is not well understood as one cannot get close enough to the hive to check on it. As with all other species native to Zebes, it became extinct in the wild when Samus Aran finally destroyed the evil Mother Brain.

In the games two types have been spotted, blue and red, with the former version being stronger. Once they pop out of their holes which are mounted on walls, they fly forward without turning around until they find another hole (usually across from them).
