Synopsis | - The batmobile is speeding down the highway with its 2 passengers, Batman and Dick Grayson in it. Batman sprays Dick with knockout gas but it has no effect. Meanwhile, Vicki Vale is injured from the accident. Alfred patchs her up. Vicki is busy in shock and recounting the past events, from the Grayson's murder until when Batman kidnaps Dick. Alfred tries to calm her down but to no effect until Vicki passes out in Alfred's arms. Dick realizes that Batman is faking his deep voice but yet he scares him. The cops then suddenly chase off after the batmobile. Batman starts violently ramming the cop cars which scares Dick. Batman then goes after them again until the cars explode with fire and then the batmobile flies off into the sky. Dick starts to cry over his parent's death but Batman slaps him. He then starts to question his answers but decides to focus on the mission. Batman asks Dick if he wants to join him in his war against crime. Batman goes over some rules about fighting crime. He tells him that he should never trust Gotham cops. Dick then starts to think it over and the issue ends with him agreeing to join Batman.
