Fiona is grateful for Steve's support and dreads bringing the baby up without a father. Zoe and Leanne work on Ashley until he agrees to having Nick and Leanne as paying lodgers. They move in, thrilling Zoe who hopes they'll liven things up. Natalie tells Des that Samantha really loves him. There's a moment when he mistakes her sympathy for affection but she tells him that it would be no solution if they got together.
