Muzzle fought the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War, later serving the Imperial Remnant. Muzzle had been described to be virtually emotionless, not caring about anything but completing the mission. That was the case throughout the Clone Wars, during which he showed willingness to risk his soldiers' lives and attempt missions that were deemed by others as "impossible". Muzzle did not mind killing his Jedi commander in Order 66, but after the Great Jedi Purge, his attitude changed. As several stormtroopers who knew Muzzle speculated, it was after a battle in which he saw a mass loss of lives. Nonetheless, a number of officers in the Imperial Armed Forces respected Muzzle due to his experience, though a few disliked him because he talked back often; a trait which most ARC troopers possessed. As all ARCs, Muzzle was considered to be among the best soldiers in the Republic Army. He possessed deadly accuracy with blaster weapons, and exhibited extensive knowledge of melee combat; two things that ARCs were drilled in the most. Among other things he received as a result of ARC training was the tendency to question orders, which annoyed several of his officers.
