  • MacCentral (originally named MacCentral Online) is a Web site created in the mid-1990s by Stan Flack that provides daily news pertinent to the Apple Macintosh computing platform. In 1998, to capitalise on the perceived rebound in the Mac computer games market, MacCentral Online acquired MacGaming. The site currently publishes a "week in games" report as a byproduct of that merger. Shortly thereafter, MacCentral Online was purchased by Mac Publishing, who, for a time, merged the site's content with MacWEEK before eventually using MacCentral's online brand recognition to support its Macworld brand.

Maccentral.com now redirects to maccentral.macworld.com, reflecting the association between Macworld magazine and MacCentral, calling the site "Macworld's News Service." The site employs a staff of editors and reporters. The site also repurposes content from other International Data Group online publications.
