  • The 2008 Carquest Auto Parts 300 was a Nationwide Series event held at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 24, 2008. Kyle Busch, largely responsible for Joe Gibbs Racing's six-race win streak in the series, hopped in Braun Racing's #32 entry and then promptly held off the JGR #20 entry of Denny Hamlin for the victory. It was Busch's fourth of the young season. Hamlin caused some controversy late in the race, when he took a swing at Brad Keselowski during the last caution after Hamlin accused Keselowski of handling him rough during the caution. A fight ensued in the pit area. Meanwhile, Busch narrowed Clint Bowyer's (6th) point lead down to just 67 markers.
