  • Swabbie
rdfs:comment
  • The term Swabbie, is a nickname for naval personnel used by UNSC Marines and ODST Troopers. Because the Spartan-IIs are technically a part of the UNSC Navy, they also qualify as swabbies. The term refers to the old tradition of "swabbing the decks," where the crew would clean the decks of old wooden ships.
  • In Pirates Online, this is the preliminary rank achieved in Privateering Infamy. A pirate must earn 25 points in SvS to receive the Mariner rank, the next rank in the SvS infamy chain. * Both Unlimited Access and Basic Access players can earn badges, but only Unlimited Access members can display a badge they earn.
  • Swabbie is a Rogues Gallery Perk. __NoToC__
  • Swabbies are NPPs that are hired onto a ship when a crewmember of officer rank or above clicks the "hire jobbers" checkbox, provided there are less than a specific number of yellow-named pirates on the ship. The number of swabbies available depends on the ship. On a sloop, up to three swabbies can be hired. On other ships, up to four swabbies can be hired.

The number of swabbies available depends on the ship. On a sloop, up to three swabbies can be hired. On other ships, up to four swabbies can be hired. They consistently get "Fine" on duty reports, can't be ordered to navigate, and randomly switch between opponents during the sea battle swordfight, but otherwise behave as normal pirates that can be ordered about. They are Able in every puzzle and consume a small amount of rum. Swabbies are also called aboard the ship when players leave in the middle of a sea battle. The first swabbie comes aboard when one player departs, subsequent swabbies come aboard for every three players leaving. Once the sea battle ends, these swabbies will leave the ship.
