  • The Templar Order, also called the Order of the Templars or just Templars, or Crusaders, was an order of various warriors of different species and specialties. The Order was focused on the overthrow of the Galactic Republic, a government which it deemed to be a failure. This was not done by them openly, for most of their history, but mainly from the shadows. There was much manipulation done by them, and some sources suggested that the Outer Rim Uprising was started by them. Their plot culminated in 16,858 BBY, when a task force of Templars took control of the Senate Building and tried to take control of the Jedi Temple, though failed. The main leaders of the organization were not Force users, and did not associate themselves with light or dark.
  • ―Templar motto. The Templars, also known as the Knights Templar, were a monastic military order-turned-corporate giant formed during the prehistoric era. The Templars sought to create a perfect world, although the means by which they sought to do so - through force and control - were questionable. Because of this, they were the sworn enemies of the Assassin Order, who believed that mankind should always have the ability to choose; to have free will, even if it means a flawed humanity. With these conflicting ideologies, the two groups have fought over the course of thousands of years for the control and fate of humanity.
  • The Templar Order is a military order of the Chantry that hunts apostates and maleficar and watches over the mages from the Circle of Magi. While templars are officially deemed a force of defenders by the Chantry, established to protect the communities of the faithful from magical threats, they are in fact an army unto themselves; well-equipped, highly disciplined and devoted to their duties.
  • The Order of the Knights Templar, more commonly known as the Templar Order, Knights Templar or simply the Templars, are a monastic military order that serve as the chief antagonists of the Assassin's Creed video game series. The modern-day version of the Templars operates using a front called Abstergo Industries, a super-corporation that has been responsible for the majority of human technological development for the past millennia.

The Templars seek to create a perfect world, although the means by which they aim to do so - through force, control and the destruction of free will - directly contrast the ideals of their sworn enemies, the Assassin Order. Because of this difference in ideology, the Templars became involved in a covert war against the Assassins, spanning millenia, with their opposition's motivating belief being that mankind should always have the ability to choose; to have the freedom of liberty, even if it meant accepting that humanity would always be flawed in their ways.
