Although he initially struggled to succeed for his Master, the clone could not free himself from the emotional imprints passed on to him by Vader, especially his personal attachment to Padme Amidala. Like Vader, the clone's emotional stability was undermined by his feelings for Amidala. When Starkiller judged him to be another imperfect copy, the clone escaped from Kamino and embarked on a single-minded quest to find Amidala, unaware that she had been dead for nearly twenty years. After traveling to several worlds in his search for the former seantor, and joining the Alliance to Restore the Republic, the clone's journey came to an end when he returned to Kamino to face Starkiller and was killed by a perfect clone of Vader.
