It wasn’t until Elaina’s death by a strange disease that even Bacta couldn’t heal, that Jarrod started to smuggle for larger Crime Lords and eventually the Hutts. It was father and daughter running the shipments under the pretence of refugees or a family vacation and they were usually overlooked by local authorities. This continued on for many years until the day Emma turned eighteen. Her father was negotiating with Garba the Hutt and got into and argument on the price to be paid for the dangerous mission Jarrod was about to undertake. Ultimately, Jarrod turned down the Hutt and turned to leave before he was excused. Garba allowed him to leave but then sent some of his men to “change” the older man’s mind. During the fight, Jarrod was knocked to the ground and beaten to death. Emma found his body two hours later after returning from her Birthday party with her friends. She found out what happened to her father by interrogating a small Twi’lek until it talked and spilled out all the information about what happened to her father. Since then she has never taken a mission for a Hutt instead she works specifically with all the Hutts enemies. She changed the name of her father's ship tho the Hell's Fury and since then has made treks from one side of the galaxy to the other. See has even spent some time in the unknown regions to the Eclipse Station and the Jade Worlds.
