abstract | - The Hyrule Festival is an event celebrated in Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Though details regarding the Festival are rather thin, it is presumed that it involves the four populated provinces of Hyrule coming together in Hyrule Castle Town to celebrate another year gone by. At the Hyrule Festival, a representative of each of the four provinces offers a gift to the Royal Family of Hyrule as gratitude. In the early portion of Twilight Princess, Link is chosen to give the offering from the Ordona Province, the Ordon Sword and the Ordon Shield, to Princess Zelda on the day of the festival. However, the Twili invasion of Hyrule puts a damper on these plans, and ultimately places a cancellation on the Hyrule Festival altogether.
