  • Below, under the forums page is a link to the forum I have created that will serve as an online support group. In it, there are three sections, one for the patients of the disease, where they are able to share their stories, feelings, and opinions. Another page is for the family of people with the disease with the same idea, and then lastly there is a news page. A great resource comes from the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. They are more than willing to provide you with information regarding the disease and have been very helpful throughout the duration of my project.
  • An online community (also referred to as Internet community, virtual community or e-community) is a group of people that primarily interact via communication media such as newsletters, telephone, email, social network service or instant messages rather than face-to-face, for social, professional, educational or other purposes.
  • The Online Community is a virtual meeting place where people from around the world meet to exchange yo-yoing tricks, event details and information in many places on the internet. These fall into several categories: forums, blogs, video sites, IRC chat rooms and normal websites.
