December 30th 1986 near Swift Current, Saskatchewan) was a right winger who last played major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League for the Swift Current Broncos. Kresse passed away on December 30th 1986, along with teammates Chris Mantyka, Scott Kruger and Brent Ruff, when the Broncos' bus crashed after the driver lost its control on a patch of black ice outside Swift Current. At the time of his death, Kresse had 56 points in 30 games and was one of the league's top ten scorers. His number 8 has been retired by the Broncos.
